This small island located just north of Formentera boasts of being one of the best kept secrets of the Mediterranean and is only accessible by boat.
It's a beautiful spot with white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a peaceful atmosphere, that will leave you, literally, speechless.
Es Palmador is still a wild place frequented only by yachtsmen and one of the most paradisiacal landscapes of Formentera. With a rich biodiversity, a wide variety of plant and animal species, including several species of birds, reptiles, and marine life, the park is an ideal place for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle surfing, a walk in the wilderness or just lazing on the beach after a good swim.
Being a protected area, that is part of the natural park of Ses Salines, you will not find any hotel, restaurant or shops; it's a virgin space where new constructions are prohibited. Although the island is private property, the paths and coasts are public.
The sandbar that separates Es Palmador from Formentera is called "El Pas", which means "the passage" in Spanish. The sandbar is narrow and can be crossed on foot during low tide, although visitors are advised to be cautious and to avoid crossing when the tide is coming in or going out.
Places taken by the greatest photographers, it is not uncommon to see the most beautiful top models in the world doing photo shoots for the greatest stylists.
Welcome to this little piece of paradise!
