To hire a private yacht in Ibiza you choose a boat, send us your dates and the size of your group, and secure the booking with a deposit of at least 50 percent and a signed charter contract. The yacht is yours for the day, with its captain and crew, for up to 12 guests. Day rental starts from around €950 for a sports boat and rises to €12,000 or more for the largest yachts, excluding VAT and fuel. Here is how it works, step by step.
Yacht hire, boat rental or charter: is there a difference?
No. Yacht hire, boat rental and yacht charter all describe the same thing; charter is simply the word the industry uses. What matters is that it is private. When you rent a yacht with us you hire the whole boat with its crew for your own group, and the day is planned around you. It is the same service we describe across the site as a luxury yacht charter in Ibiza.
Do you need a boating licence?
No. Every yacht in our fleet comes with its own captain, and the larger boats carry a full crew who look after the yacht and its guests, so you do not need a licence or any experience at sea. Our captains know the local waters and handle the navigation, the anchoring and the safety of your group, so you can simply enjoy the day.
Step 1: Set your budget, your plans and your group size
The first step is to decide your budget and what you would like to do with your day on the water. The second is capacity. Most private yachts in Ibiza are licensed for a maximum of 12 guests, not counting the captain and crew, and children count towards that number. Step 2: Choose the boat
Our fleet runs from fast sports boats and RIBs, from around €950 per day, through motor yachts of 50 to 60 feet, from €2,500 per day, and luxury yachts of 68 to 85 feet, from €3,950 per day, up to large yachts and superyachts from €8,500 per day. These are low season starting rates that rise in July and August. Step 3: Send us your dates
Get in touch through our contact page and tell us the dates you would like, the boat or boats you are interested in renting, your budget and the number of passengers. The more you tell us, the easier it is to match you with the right yacht. It gets very busy in July and August, so book as far in advance as you can. That said, we can often accommodate last minute hires too.
Step 4: Secure the booking with a deposit and contract
Once the details are agreed, a deposit of at least 50 percent secures your dates and your boat. It can be paid by bank transfer or credit card, and it goes together with a signed charter contract. The balance is paid as set out in that contract. Fuel and any extras are charged at the end of the day. For some yachts an APA, an advance provisioning allowance, is requested beforehand to cover fuel and expenses.
What is included when you rent a yacht in Ibiza?
The daily rate includes the yacht with its crew, mooring at the home port in Ibiza, complimentary drinks, towels and water toys, which vary depending on the yacht. Not included are VAT, fuel, mooring at any other port, gratuities and extras such as food and beverages. This does vary from boat to boat, so check what is included when you enquire. Tipping is entirely voluntary; as a guide, many guests tip around 10 percent, given to the captain to share with the crew.
What happens on the day
We recommend departing between 11:00 and 13:00, and a full day on the water usually runs for around eight hours. Many of our day charters head to Formentera and Es Palmador, with white sand beaches and turquoise water. Others explore Es Vedra, Atlantis and the secluded coves along the coast, or anchor off the well known beach clubs. Catering can be arranged if you share your menu and drink requests before boarding, so everything can be bought and prepared in advance. On most boats you can also bring your own food and drinks, though it is best to check with us first. Many guests prefer to stop at one of the restaurants you can reach by boat, and we are happy to recommend one and book the table for you.
Hiring a yacht for more than a day
You can hire a yacht in Ibiza for a day, several days or a week or more. Sleeping on board normally requires a minimum booking of two days. If you would like to moor overnight at a port other than the home port, it can be arranged, and the extra mooring fee is charged separately.
